Free no nonsense guide featuring 12 crucial tips for Facebook success!

The stakes are high, so make sure you take steps to get it right from the outset. Having managed social media campaigns and run activities for some of the worlds biggest consumer brands, the following 12 golden rules have never failed me and act as a great basic starting point for anyone new to Facebook marketing.

Excerpts from the eGuide

1. Keep post copy short and to the point

This is particularly important on Facebook, because posts are not character limited. it can be tempting to go into masses of detail leading to long, rambling posts. People consume data via social media in bitesize chunks.

A snappy and carefully thought out headline followed by a paragraph or two of lively, informative copy, is usually more than enough and if it’s not, you can provide a trackable link (See point 7 below) for people to follow should they want more details.

4. Be quick to respond

If a customer asks a question via a post on your Facebook wall, leaving it go unanswered looks unprofessional and like you just don’t care. Answer questions as quickly as possible, aim for the
same day.

Displaying a helpful and positive attitude will help to elevate your customer service standards, giving people more confidence in your brand and driving positive sentiment as a result.

If you get to the stage where you can’t deal with the volume of customer service related posts you are receiving think about appointing a member of staff to deal solely with this, add it to the remit of existing customer services staff or helpfully post a link to your preferred method of contact for customer service related issues.

Your followers are constantly connected via both desktop PC and various mobile devices; they expect your company to be constantly connected too.
